A favorite of the Victorians, the lavender wand makes a lovely gift for the ladies in the wedding. Traditionally used to scent the linen drawer, lavender is also welcome beside the bed, in the bureau, or on the vanity.
To make lavender wands you will need:

1 1/2 yards 1/4″ ribbon
securely around the lavender
at the base of the flowers.
rubber band, one by one, encasing the lavender flowers.
Secure at the base with another rubber band.
one of the stalks, then
carefully pull it up to the
top and begin weaving the
ribbon over and under the
stalks, all the way down to
the bottom. Pin in place and let sit
for a few weeks to dry. The stalks will shrink a bit.
Adjust the ribbons. Remove the rubber band at the base of the
stems. Tie ribbon in a knot; then add a bow.
